Classes and Levels

Ballet Nouveau’s curriculum is designed to build students’ technique and performing skills throughout all levels of training. With the exception of Pre-School Ballet, students are placed in classes by skill level, not by age. It is normal for a student to stay in a level at least 2 years before mastery.

Our ballet syllabus is based on a mixture of the English RAD system, the Italian Cecchetti method, and the French system. We teach a “neutral” technique that builds strength and versatility, so our student dancers will be able to adapt to any diverse requirements they encounter in the dance world.

In our more advanced levels, students study Pilates, Modern, Jazz, and Composition, as well as their regular ballet and pointe classes. These classes work together to build kinesthetically healthy, diverse ballet dancers.
